Throughout late middle school and high school, he explored Karate, Kata and Weapon forms and Boxing.  Jerin started training MMA as a teenager and discovered the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2009. Soon after graduating from military school, he began his Jiu-Jitsu training under Master Carlos "Caique" Elias under the guidance of Kevin Lambert and Don Richard at Holly BJJ Club, Mash Gym, and Warrior Way Martial Arts. Jerin received Blue Belt in 2012 from Master Caique.
